The best cleaning robot vacuum and mop Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the push of the button. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your area to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is better because its spinning pads clean your floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice however they can make the L10s more of a luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home.
