Boston College's Ben Roy Returns to Form After Tearing ACL

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Sophomore point guard Ben Roy of the Boston University Terriers is returning to form after suffering from a torn ACL for the past two years.

In the Terriers' opening loss to Rutgers, Roy played 21 minutes and had four points, one assist and one steal. The Terriers are ranked fifth in the Patriot League preseason poll, and he is expected to play a leadership role this season.

Roy said he feels good and is excited about what's coming up this year. He also has to juggle his basketball career and his studies at the Questam School of Business.

"It's not easy," he said of how he juggles school and playing." It's legit, I'm actually going to school. I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the court."

Roy sends a message to young players, "Don't let anyone tell you you can't do it. A lot of people told me, a kid from the coast, 'You can't do it.'" That all fell on deaf ears. I'm going to continue to play hard, continue to work hard and believe in the people around me.
