On September 5, in the early hours of the morning, the tranquility of the Olympic Village was shattered as eight masked gunmen, armed with assault rifles and grenades, infiltrated the Israeli team's residence. In a meticulously planned operation, they made their way into the apartments housing the Israeli Olympic delegation members, taking a total of 11 athletes, coaches, and officials hostage.

The demands of these terrorists were clear - release over 230 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons and two German radicals in exchange for the lives of the Israeli hostages. As news of the hostage situation spread, shockwaves reverberated throughout the Olympic complex, and an atmosphere of fear and tension gripped the city.
