Inglis hopes to complete acquisition of part of Manchester United as soon as possible

The latest news from the British media is that Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Invesco wants to buy part of Manchester United and expand Old Trafford as soon as possible.

According to the report, Sir Jim Ratcliffe hopes that his offer to buy a 25% stake in Manchester United for 1.3 billion pounds will be successful and that the deal will be completed as soon as possible. Following this, Invesco will replace the Glazer family and take over the footballing affairs of Manchester United in the first stage of their full takeover.

The need to upgrade and expand Old Trafford is imminent and Sir Ratcliffe will be exploring ways to upgrade it to a massive 90,000 capacity stadium. Currently, Old Trafford has a capacity of 74,310, but the internal facilities are in dire need of modernization and it is expected that the stake of Inglis could help to solve some of the financial problems.
